Above the traffic on Houston Street, this Asian-inspired club is one of the more approachable upscale cocktail bars in the city. The relatively spacious room provides plenty of comfortable booths and chairs with a view of the street below. The mixologists here are as serious as they come, and the bar boasts one of the best gin collections in town. Come to Pegu for the best martini in all of New York. As Pegu Club is slightly less hidden than some of its speakeasy counterparts, the weekend crowd can be a little rowdy, but the atmosphere on weeknights is perfect for a first date, or just for unwinding after work.
